Great professor and lovely person! Not a lot of assignments, and a very kind grader. |

Professor Jefferson is a great professor. Easy assignments-- a semester-long project involving short papers (Milestones) and a presentation at the end. Towards the beginning of the semester, we had current events where we had to read philanthropy news and write a summary about them (a total of 4). We also had module quizzes which were about 5 questions and you had the whole weekend to answer them. She knows many people in the nonprofit field and has excellent connections and guest speakers. Overall, I enjoyed her course and she was not a harsh grader! |

Selvon is a great guy. Easy assignments-- short papers that build on one another and a presentation at the end. No midterm or final. Class only met once a week and he often ended class early. He seems to know a lot of people in the field of nonprofits and has great connections and guest speakers. He is very lenient about extensions and is an understanding professor. My only qualm is that some of the information was repeat info/readings from PLCY213. |

There is no reason you shouldn't get a good grade in this class. Only writing assignments (which you can rewrite was many times as you want) and a presentation at the end of the semester. Waldron is a cool guy and very passionate about the field. Low amount of work outside of class. |

One of the easiest classes I have taken content and assignment wise, however this professor does not care about her students like she claims she does. Multiple students had difficulties this semester, some not even COVID related, however she had no empathy towards these students and giving them extensions, and instead told them to withdrawal from the course. Was one of the most unreachable professors ever; you could email her and she would instead just forward the email to her TA Tyra (who is absolutely amazing) to have her respond instead. Would cancel office hour appointments 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Won't explain why you got points off because it's "in the rubric." Only sees things her way. However, if you take plcy310 you don't really have a choice, so just be prepared. |
