PLSC101 is an intro class for a lot of the agriculture majors, but it is also a popular lab science to fulfill gen eds. Dr. Philips completely recognizes this and doesn't push a ton of memorization of the extensive knowledge. His lectures are a bit boring because the information is dry, but he does his best to make them interesting and tells you he is trying. He does not take attendance, but will sometimes give out extra credit on Friday's to the people who are there. 2-3 midterms that are basically memorization, and a non cumulative final that has the same weight as every other exam. He will tell you that as a student he hated having insanely weighted finals. He is a really understanding guy, and has a lot of knowledge. No other homework assignments or papers or projects of any kind. The lab is pretty simple, there are a few "exams" that are basically being able to identify different types of plants and give some facts about them. All the information is given to you and is very straightforward. Super fun, not too hard, as long as you put in a bit of time to study for exams.
