Global Food Systems
Prerequisite: BSCI170 and BSCI171; or BSCI105; or students who have taken courses with comparable content may contact the department. An introduction to the global food system and its agricultural, biophysical, and socioeconomic domains. The problems and potentials for increasing world food supply based on current agronomic knowledge. Emphasis on international aspects of food crop production as its interrelationships with people and the environment in the developing world.
