Prerequisite: 6 credits in SOCY courses; or permission of BSOS-Sociology department. Movements that seek change in the social and political structure of society. Origins, tactics, organization, recruitment, and success. Case studies come from such movements as labor, civil rights, student, feminist, environmental, neighborhood, and gay rights.
