Ana Rodriguez SPAN374 Anonymous 12/09/2024	If you think that just because you are a good student or you are good at Spanish you will get a good grade you are WRONG. This class ruined my chance at summa cum laude. Doing the work on time, studying, and going to office hours is NOT ENOUGH. It is a shame that she takes something amazing like service learning work and ruins it for us like this. She grades based on favoritism and how much you can trauma dump in class. Also if you disagree with her political views she will not give you good grades. If you agree with her views, she will nitpick your knowledge in class in front of everyone. Always 10-15 minutes late, has no grades until after midterms, and is an incredibly rude person. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF do not take this class, get involved with community service on campus instead.
Ana Rodriguez SPAN374 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 12/13/2022	The course was very informative and interesting to learn about. I was very interested because of the discussions that allowed students to connect and understand. However, I do not believe that it was inclusive. The instructor seemed biased. As the course is anti racist and anti discrimination, it is meant to accept every student and their culture, in which I felt I was not. The course has much to offer, but through her promotion of wanting change and inclusivity of cultures it is necessary to accept every students perspective rather than challenge it as being wrong to even speak on. From my experience, great course but teacher has to recognize bias that tried to limit me from speaking on my cultural perspective.
