Special Topics in Intermediate Theatre and Performance; Coding for Live Performance

Students must pay a $25 lab fee. Computer programming is quickly becoming an essential skill for designers in all fields. This course will provide an introduction to object-oriented programming through the use of Processing, a Java-based programming language for the electronic arts, new media art, and visual design. This course will explore the use of computer programming to generate imagery and interactivity utilizing various algorithms, user & sensor inputs, and data within the scope of media design for live performance.
