TLPL340 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 01/02/2025 |
This class was so fun! As an avid reader, I loved getting to go back and look at children's books to see why they are important to be read. Dr. Baccus is such a kind, gentle soul. The class is mainly weekly book discussions in groups of your choosing surrounding a certain subject or genre. You also have a text set project, where you have to create a video on 4-6 books surrounding a certain topic and write an accompanying paper. The final is a simple paper discussing how you would integrate what was taught throughout the semester in your future classroom. This is a very easy class with the sweetest professor possible. |

I LOVED Maggie. She is such a great teacher. You do have to show up to class but it really is a fun class. Maggie is extremely smart and knows what she is talking about. It was a super chill class. Honestly, if you show up and do the work you will get an A. Definitely recommend taking a class with her!!! |

Jax is hands down the best professor I've had at UMD. She cares so much about students and makes sure that everyone has the opportunity to be successful. Her classes are fun and engaging- she really puts time into planning them. She is easygoing but also states her (high) expectations for assignments clearly. The content that is covered in this class is so practical and relevant for future teachers. |
