Love this professor! She is so nice and cares a lot about her students! The class it set up so that in the first half, you have to learn about education and policies, and then the second half is doing your own research and presenting a big poster at the end. There's lots of article reading, but she lets you use Gen AI to write notes on them, so its super helpful! As someone who took this as a Gen Ed requirement, and someone who is not an education or policy major, I still found the course content interesting and helpful! We are all in education so some of it can be applicable to you!

She is so nice, thoughtful, and caring toward her students! Incredibly smart yet knows how to deliver the information to students succinctly, in different ways for different students. The first half of the class is learning about big problems in education, last half is just making your own research project. the work was not hard, but you do have to do it - setting aside times for readings and actually doing your project, but it's pretty open-ended so you can do whatever you're interested in. I would recommend anything she teaches!

I LOVED Maggie. She is such a great teacher. You do have to show up to class but it really is a fun class. Maggie is extremely smart and knows what she is talking about. It was a super chill class. Honestly, if you show up and do the work you will get an A. Definitely recommend taking a class with her!!!

Maggie is super chill. She's a great teacher and makes the class interesting. Warning: this class does require a lot of reading (which many people avoided and just read summaries) but it is worth it. I would say that this class best helped me to be prepared to teach English lit by allowing us to be exposed to a lot of teaching material and content. The class was mostly group work in which we would talk about our book and then rotate. Through this method, Every student was able to gain insight into 3-4x as many books. Def recommend taking this class as there were not a lot of assignments and your peers are bound to become new friends.

I literally love Maggie. She is the most amazing professor. She is so understanding and genuinely cares so much about her students. I would recommend everyone take her. She makes an effort to get to know her students and know them beyond the classroom setting.

Really fun and easy class (if you don't mind using computers and video software.) She's also really nice.
