BEST TEACHER YOU CAN TAKE. She is very nice and helpful, cares for her students, and makes her class very easy, just put in minimal effort and you will pass.

Only a useful class if you know completely nothing about applying to the business school (resume, cover letter, personal statement). However, if you do your own research on the Smith website about transferring in then you can skip this class as it taught me nothing. Would look for another professor as she grades hard on dumb assignments and acts like she has real business experience but in reality she doesn't.

She is super chill and actually very helpful. Super easy and informative course. Participation is half to grade, but I missed like 5 classes and got an A+ on it.

Overall chill nothing bad. The first half of this class that goes over the business school is important, but the other half is practically worthless.

Only some aspects of this class seem to be beneficial for applying to the business school such as the resume, cover letter, and personal statement, and maybe some of the guest lectures. But overall the class was sometimes a waste of time, some of the lectures should be online. She also takes forever to grade things. The last class was a week ago and I still have no grade in the class. But she is very chill and laid back compared to the first teacher I had for this course who started off saying that she is "a bitch at grading".

5 stars for Gaby. She is really sweet and super helpful with application stuff and assignments throughout the semester. It's not hard to get an A. 1 star for the class. Don't take UNIV108 during the same semester you are applying to Smith. Either take it a semester before you submit your application or don't take it lol. It is not super helpful if you are applying because most of the class assignments are after the application deadline (resume, cover letter, personal statement). It isn't a super hard class and you need the skills you go over in class for your application so I would only recommend taking if you are struggling with your application or don't have a lot of resume/cover letter/interview skills.

Took this class in Freshman Connection and was a giant mistake. Workload is insanely more than what a 1 cred course should be. The grades are weighted weirdly and doing bad on just one assignment could bump you out of an A. Final project was an extreme waste of time and taken way too seriously. She gets a board of her friends to judge your group and knit pick away as if it were an episode of Shark Tank. Also she is very condescending and makes freshman connection students feel worse about themselves and overly harsh during discussions. Constantly repeated how she'd write horrible recommendation letters on purpose, boasting about her connections and made fun of student's that did not make it into the business school. Never had a professor this unprofessional and rude before, the key is to get on her good side but difficult when she is just a horrible person in general. If you want to walk out of every class questioning yourself and doubting your ability to get into the Smith School then take this class. Spare yourself the waste of time and stress this class is and take a different 1 cred course.

Class should be at least 2 credits imo. Boring lectures, wasn't motivated to attend. Final grade consists of resume, cover letter, personal statement, participation, and group pitch project. She was nice, but not a great lecturer imo. She never seemed like she had her full attention on teaching the class.

Such a hard grader for no reason, will give you feedback but even if you fix it she still marks off, not very personable. Would look for another prof for this class
