She was so committed, caring, and productive in our class. She is a very knowledgable, charismatic, and professional professor. The lectures consisted of PowerPoints that were already posted. She was very organized. She would go through the slides but would add lots of details and relevant information. She taught beyond just women's history, but an expanded perspective of the time period being studied. The content was very interesting to me and I think it would be to anyone. We had weekly discussion posts. I felt it was very possible to fall behind, but I very much suggest asking for help in a timely manner. The professor and the TA were always offering help.

HIST211/WGSS211 is a fantastic class and it wouldn't be half as great if Dr. Keane wasn't teaching it! on the very first day, she told us to challenge her if she ever suggested universality in women's experiences, which i thought was so important to say as she wanted us to always be critically thinking and feel free to challenge what she says. of course, we hardly ever had to challenge universality because she always presented a plethora of women's perspectives. she fits so much content and material into every lecture it's incredible how much i learned every single class. she posts the lecture slides online which are great if you miss class, need to check notes, use them for a discussion post, etc. (but you won't really want to miss class). weekly discussion posts aren't hard since she gives you guiding questions and tells you how to format your posts. two essays weren't super hard, i procrastinated on one of them until the day it was due and still got an A lol. going to discussion is also important but the TA Julia does a really good job of facilitating the conversations. this course should be required as you learn soooo much stuff that i wish everyone knew!
