Rick is kind and very understanding. Every gripe I had with the class had to do with the class itself and not Rick. FREN203 is a fast-paced class and has online exams, in-class writing, speaking, and daily quizzes. This class itself has a lot of busywork and a lot of homework but to no fault of Rick. I think that if I had a professor any worse than Rick, this class would be miserable, but he makes class very engaging. I highly recommend him. |

He really wants you to learn and keeps you busy in class. He can be a bit funny without trying. Hes a generous grader and overall sets an environment that makes it easy to learn and understand. I only took this class because i needed 4 credits but ended up really enjoying the class! |

Richard is very friendly and understanding professor. For those learning French for the first time, his lessons are very helpful and I would recommend taking him. He teaches class in a mix of English and French, and lessons are taught at a reasonable pace. There is a fair bit of homework assigned, but it's all due the same time each week making and pretty manageable. If you show up willing to learn and participate, you'll do well in his class. |
