Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting a B Anonymous 12/21/2023	Great class and very kind professor. The quizzes and take home assignments were easy since they were very similar to the practice problem sets. Exams are 60% of the grade but there is definitely a huge curve on these making the class easy to pass. As others have said I found her lectures to not be the most helpful.
Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/20/2023	She’s a great professor. Shows you how to do everything and the slides are helpful. Throughout the semester the quizzes are easy online, assignments are all questions in the practice problems, the project might seem bad but if you do it you get a 100%. The mid term and final are questions you see on the previous exams. If you go to class and stay on top of work it’s an easy A.
Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting a B- Anonymous 01/11/2023	I was super nervous taking this course because I did not know the foundations of finance very well. Her lectures were extremely boring, she would make 90 page slideshows and read over them throughout a few days of classes. However, if you pay good attention the questions she goes over in the slides will help you on the exams. There's also a project worth 15% of your grade that was really easy and fun to do which helped my grade. I absolutely failed the midterm and final and still ended with a B- with the curve. She is a very nice professor, but the way she teaches her class is hard to follow and more of independent learning in my opinion
Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/23/2021	She is a super nice professor. Give us detailed and clear teaching content, and the amount of work after class is also reasonable. She replies emails quickly, and gives students helpful feedbacks. Before each exam, the practice exams she gave us was really helpful. SUPER NICE professor!!!
Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting a B Anonymous 12/15/2021	As much as the material sucks to digest, the professor does not help a whole lot in understanding the material. All of her slides, which is the only place where she explains the course material, are a total mess. Some examples of how messy her class is includes: complex example slides that are not relevant to the rest of the class, missing equations I only was notified of via her TA's, and loads of useless information that will not help you get a better grade in her class. The only reason the grade distribution looks so promising for her class is because of HEAVY curving on the final exam. She's a nice person who cares about the material, but man she has not done a great job with presenting the dense material that is Fixed Income.

Aysun Alp Paukowits BMGT441 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 05/25/2019	Prof Alp (or Alp Paukowits) is a very nice professor. Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow (and skippable). She is very easygoing and nice in answering all kinds of questions. BMGT441 was known as a very quantitative course but she made it very easy and basic. She can also relate lectures and student presentations with real-world examples and current events, making the class interesting for those who come to class. Although she always joke saying she’s evil but her midterm exam turned out to be the other way around - very easy. Though the final exam was hard with an average of 60/100, in the end she still gave everyone a VERY VERY VERY generous curve! I was so desperate when the final exam grades are out but when I saw my final grade (A+) that was totally a surprise! As long as you put in your effort, this is a course that an "A" is not hard to get as she is a fair grader, and even for people who are terrible in math or finance like me. Overall I would recommend her and her class 200%, and will definitely take again.
