Pretty terrible capstone professor. He is the sponsor for all of the elderly assistive device projects, which is about 3 groups. He has a specific product that he wanted us to design, but would be absolutely no help in guiding us about the features of the product or what exactly he wants it to do. He changed the project requirements mid semester to a stair assistive device that helps users walk up the stairs to a stair assistive device that also CATCHES a person if they fall. due to this, we scrambled to change and build our prototype in the last 4 weeks of the semester. I had a pretty terrible group as well and personally emailed him for an extension citing the fact that I had 3x the amount of hours of any other team member in my group and I was the only person doing a majority of the work. He basically said he didn't care lol. In addition to that, he didn't remember my name until 2 months into the semester despite me talking to him every single class asking him for advice as our sponsor. Instead, I went to Prof. Cleanthous to give me advice which he gladly and clearly did. do not take this prof. he is incredibly irritating

Course was pretty interesting and grading is very fair. No homework in this class. Your grade is 50% exams (25% for each), 24% quizzes (6% for each), and 26% project. You get to choose your project topic and it helps reinforce topics learned in lecture, especially in the second half which is primarily MATLAB/Excel based. would recommend Dr. Azarm for this course as he is pretty engaging and very kind/understanding. Exams and quizzes are structured with a multiple choice section usually worth about 1/4 of the total grade and then 1 written problem for quizzes and 3 for exams.

The professor is really lazy. His method of teaching isnt too great too. He has too many quizzes lined up to torture you throughout the semester. the grading system is really unfair for this course. He did not curve the grade as well which left almost half the class with a C grade.

The course material is very interesting but the method of delivery is not effective. Goes through the PowerPoint in class and sometimes on the board but doest really engage the students. The topic more or less finding minimum of 3D graphs with different methods in Matlab and excel optimization. Since it’s hard to visualize, I think he could have done better to communicate the material better. You’ll fail without reading the textbooks. Class wasn’t enough to understand the material. Exams were hard.
