Course was pretty interesting and grading is very fair. No homework in this class. Your grade is 50% exams (25% for each), 24% quizzes (6% for each), and 26% project. You get to choose your project topic and it helps reinforce topics learned in lecture, especially in the second half which is primarily MATLAB/Excel based. would recommend Dr. Azarm for this course as he is pretty engaging and very kind/understanding. Exams and quizzes are structured with a multiple choice section usually worth about 1/4 of the total grade and then 1 written problem for quizzes and 3 for exams. |

The professor is really lazy. His method of teaching isnt too great too. He has too many quizzes lined up to torture you throughout the semester. the grading system is really unfair for this course. He did not curve the grade as well which left almost half the class with a C grade. |

The course material is very interesting but the method of delivery is not effective. Goes through the PowerPoint in class and sometimes on the board but doest really engage the students. The topic more or less finding minimum of 3D graphs with different methods in Matlab and excel optimization. Since it’s hard to visualize, I think he could have done better to communicate the material better. You’ll fail without reading the textbooks. Class wasn’t enough to understand the material. Exams were hard. |
