This professor is great! I got an A and never had that in an ENGL class in high school. She was so nice and so easy to work with, and an easyish grader. Two things I did not like about the class were that there was no actual syllabus, instead, there was a weekly to-do list in modules, which was great because it was so organized but this in addition to a syllabus would be better. Second, the assignments during the week were very tedious and a bit annoying, and redundant. The busy work was only helpful in the last half of the semester when it helped us build up to/ complete our final paper. There was an inquiry paper, the final paper, some group work, and assignments. Overall, she really explained the topics well in the lecture and was so understanding about going back to reteach something and help us understand. I'd recommend taking her a thousand times more just because she is so sweet and caring. I really have never loved English class more and I hope to take her again in professional writing.

Her class is way too tedious. Weekly assignments and discussion boards were too much work tbh. Shes very nice and helpful through.

The winter section had a fair amount of coursework. Content is straightforward and simple. One thing is the weighted assignments are heavily dependent on 3 projects75% so grades can easily tank.

Amazing professor who cares about her students and the class. Clearly outlines assignment expectations and grading and is flexible with deadlines as long as you communicate. The content of the class isn't tough and some of the projects were actually pretty interesting, but the number of assignments is definitely going to make you work. However, if you put in the work, you will get an A.

CB (as she likes to be called) cares for her students more than most professors. My class was mostly stem majors who cared about more of their classes more than english. She recognized this and sought out to make the course reasonable and interesting. Her light sarcasm made me actually listen to her and enjoy sitting in class and the workload was extremely light for an english course. We only had one long essay and we got multiple weeks to perfect it. If you bring her your writing she will tell you exactly what she is looking for so you know you will be getting a decent grade. She also makes the homeworks a large part of the grade and since they are just for completion, it is a great boost. The only reason I did not get an A in the class is because I was lazy and missed a few homeworks and got screwed over on one of the group projects.
