Zachary Berman FMSC260 Expecting an A Anonymous 11/05/2024	The exams are very easy (do let him convince you otherwise), he always claims how much you need to study and read the textbook to do well on the exams but just cram the night before and you will be fine. There is no homework which is nice however there are 5 big papers which are a pain, the final paper being 9 pages long. There are 10 participation assignments, so you kinda have to come to class, or if you don't make sure you have friends that can out your name down on the assignment. Overall, the class is fine, a chill gen-ed, but he goes overboard on the writing for no reason and then takes forever to grade them. Only one midterm and a final for exams.

Zachary Berman FMSC260 Expecting a B- Anonymous 05/18/2024	FMSC260 with Professor Berman was challenging but it is manageable. His exams were difficult, and the class averages reflected it. He takes days to cover lectures, and it sometimes makes going to class feel like a chore. Also, he gives out random participation assignments, so it made attending class a must. Professor Berman was not great at responding to emails, but he is helpful if you talk to him after class. I appreciate the extra credit opportunities because he kind of is a harsh grader, so please take advantage of this!!
Zachary Berman FMSC260 Anonymous 12/19/2023	This professor was excellent and knowledgeable. He keeps the lectures entertaining and engaged. His expectations are clear 99% of the time. Content is interesting and it makes you think. He makes things seem harder than they are, like exams. There are random in-class assignments so being present is helpful. He wants participation and he is not afraid to wait for someone to respond. He struggles to answer emails sometimes, but if you talk after class he will give an answer.
Zachary Berman FMSC260 Expecting an A- Anonymous 05/03/2022	Amazing Guy. Lectures are interesting and Interactive. A fair amount of work is given. Very understandable and flexible professor. Tests are fair you just have to study well. 10/10 Would recommend if you need a Gen ED to take.

The class is very interactive (going to have to speak to others, raise your hand, participate) and for the most part, requires you to be present. There are random in-class assignments that are pretty crucial to your grade. He reads off the slides during class and it's pretty boring. The topics are interesting but sometimes the grading is unnecessarily hard.
