Dr. Carroll is a very well-intended and knowledgeable professor. Students that expect the easy A and don't want to show up will obviously fail. This is a 4 credit lab that I took to satisfy my Natural Science Lab credit. While professor Carroll is a good and understanding professor, the course material is quite intense and rigorous. Despite few students, even ones in the major struggled. The material is very dense, but you learn a lot. Overall this is not the worst gen ed lab, and Dr. Carroll does his best. Show up to class and he will show up for you. |

Mr. Carroll was one of the most thought provoking and enlightening professors I have had during my time at the University of Maryland. He is very knowledgeable on the topic of plant biology and I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I would highly recommend this professor. |

While I believe that Dr. Carroll knows a ton about his subject, he is not an effective professor. I only had his class over zoom but he put in little to no effort in changin the way he taught this class to make it more interesting over zoom. |
