Mengting Chao STAT400 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 07/15/2025	She taught really well. The exams were very fair and similar to what you'd find on the homework and practice exams. There are plenty of good resources to do well in this class. She uses the same material as most other stat400 profs. For the summer session, the grade breakdown was 22% per exam (3 of them), and 34% for 6 homework assignments. She applies a very slight curve(5%) to each exam. Exam averages and medians were all above 90.
Mengting Chao STAT400 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 07/14/2025	One of the best TAs I've seen teaching. Took STAT400 over the summer taught by Mengting, not a hard class but concepts can be made too overcomplicated than needed but she explains most things very well. Very precise and put together class, one of the goats. Only nitpick is sometimes her accent makes certain words hard to understand and occasional errors while watching lectures/hw recordings confuses me, but she usually catches most of them in a few moments (we are only human after all). Solid teacher, better than most actual professors.
Mengting Chao STAT400 Expecting a B Anonymous 12/15/2024	She singlehandedly carried me this semester. Does have a bit of an accent but she delivers the material SOOO clearly. What some professors might skip over Mengting explains in great detail! I had a 97% before the final but did not study for the final at all LOL (I had to sacrifice this one for a harder class) and probably ended with a B in the class. Oh well... but still I love Mengting she's the absolute best.

One of the best TAs I've seen teaching.
