ECON423 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/20/2022 |
This course is very theory heavy and gives a deeper background and understand in more advanced regression analysis. If you have a strong math background and understood ECON422 this class isn't too difficult. There is 4 problem sets with each containing 5 questions. The questions consist of derivations, basic regression arithmetic, and actual coding problems. The PowerPoints from class that John provides give all the understanding necessary to do the coding and math problems for homework. Overall class isn't too difficult the problem sets take roughly 5 hours each, and office hours are very useful if you're confused. |

ECON423 Expecting a B Anonymous 05/10/2022 |
This course was way more math focused than it needed to be. While he does a good job explaining concepts, there are many times where he would overexplain something simple. The material became more confusing than it needed to be. The class itself was easy as long as you're good with mathematical proofs. He only grades on four problem sets for the whole semester. No exams. |

ECON422 Expecting a D Anonymous 05/13/2014 |
Quite possibly one the worst Econ professors I have had and that is saying a lot. He teaches straight from power point and has a heavy accent. He also say "mhmkay" between every other word that makes it difficult to follow. If you are like me and statistics dont come easy, get a another professor. |
