This professor is great! I think he is a great lecturer and is really good at not letting the content get too boring, which is great if you are taking this course as a GenEd like I did. There are 4 exams (no final), 5 assignments, 6 discussion sessions, and 10 weekly quizzes however 1 exam, 1 assignment, 1 discussion session, and 2 quizzes are dropped. His exams are super easy if you have good at memorizing content and the quizzes are open book. The only reason I gave him a star off is the grading on written assignments (AKA the assignments which are 24% of your grade) can be relatively strict for no real reason. If it isn't exactly what he is looking for, he has a tendency to just not give credit. Overall, the course was great and I really recommend it.

Nate is a great professor and he keeps the content very engaging by taking pop culture and other forms of media as examples! He is very understanding anf adjusts to what seems best for the class! Tests were very straightforward! My only complaint is that the assignments were very hard to get a 100% on. I found myself stressing over them more than the tests!

Nate was genuinely one of my favorite professors I've had at UMD so far! His class was so interesting and so easy going. There are four exams, none of which take place during finals and are multiple choice! He drops one exam, one assignment grade, two quiz grades, and one discussion grade, which is more than what I could have asked for. He records every lecture, making it very easy to go back and look over if you happen to miss a class. He started each class with music, and was just a great person who really cared about his students. Take this class if you can!!
