Qi'an Chen MATH240 Expecting an A Anonymous 12/18/2025	Qi'An did a really good job! He gave us a good amount of practice problems during discussion, explained things clearly, and helped us understand the parts we needed to know for the exams. I had him for MATH240, and I was often confused during lecture or just bored because it wasn't clear what was relevant to class, but during discussion with him I knew he was always talking about things we needed to know. He also sent us solutions for practice exams which were very helpful.
Qi'an Chen MATH240 Expecting an A- Anonymous 12/16/2025	He was a great TA! I was struggling in the beginning of the class and got a C on the first exam. I started to pay attention more in discussion and was able to get a 99 and a 95 on the other midterms. Qi'An was the main reason I was able to get my grade up and understand the concepts. He really cares about his students and puts 100% effort into his lessons. He is extremely knowledgeable about the content and was able to break things down in a way I could understand and retain. The professor was good, but I learned more from Qi'An than I did in lectures. I appreciate him and am grateful he was my TA!
Qi'an Chen MATH240 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 12/19/2024	Qi'An was an AWESOME TA. This dude came to discussions with his own colored chalk to better illustrate the pictures relevant to the course concepts. His explanations greatly supplemented what was taught in class, and his discussions always left me with a better understanding of what I was learning. Of the math courses I've taken here (Math240, Math241, Math246, Stat400), Qi'An was miles better than the 3 other TAs I had. I cannot appreciate this man enough.

He goes through questions quickly but does a good job of breaking down the content and defining everything to the tea. He takes precise notes on the board and posts answers to review for us to study.
Qi'an Chen Expecting an A gkayeh88 01/23/2022	Mr. Chen is a phenomenal TA. He is the only reason I did well in MATH141. He is great at breaking down how to solve problems into easy-to-follow steps. He is exceptional at drawing diagrams which make it easy to understand what he is depicting. Mr. Chen is approachable and eager to connect with his students. He puts in extra work to help you succeed by generating exam review presentations and homework solutions. He is very available by email and will help you solve tricky web assign problems. You must have this TA!
