Did not give us a syllabus for our records, and instead opted to only write out the grading distribution on the whiteboard the first day of class. Is holding a mandatory final exam on Reading Day. Two violations of University policy, if I'm correct. Additionally, is "teaching" us content that belongs to an entirely different course without providing supplemental materials to study off of. This is especially aggravating since his whiteboard notes are often untrustworthy and contradictory. This is an aerodynamics course. I am not here to learn about structures, composites, or advanced dynamics topics for rotorcraft. Perhaps if he was a better lecturer I would feel engaged enough to take those corresponding classes; however, he is not and I will not be taking any further rotorcraft courses. Doesn't matter though, since he's holding us accountable for these unrelated topics on the final exam. Good thing there's no syllabus available for me to cross-check what we actually should be held accountable for. As someone who took this class out of personal interest in rotorcraft and not out of necessity for my degree path, this was incredibly disappointing. I expected better from a professor held in such high regard by the University and the aerospace community at large. |
