Dr. Cools is a very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate professor. The class does have a lot of readings, but they are usually interesting, or you can just skim them. The class has 3 exams including the final, and exams are not cumulative (ie you will not be tested in exam 3 on something covered in exam 1). Exam 2 is lowkey really rough (lots of memorization with dates) and I didn't do well on it, but there is extra credit available. Overall, I would recommend this class as a gened, the class content is interesting and the class is not overly demanding. |

Great professor who knows her stuff. You can get away without doing the long readings. Tests are fairly easy if you pay attention to lectures and take good notes. |
