Do not take her if you are misorganized and tend to slack on assignments. You will get bombarded with work out of no where and her major assignments are a huge portion of your grade. If you turn those in late/do a bad job on them, you will get a bad grade in this class. Find a better professor. |

Professor Crawford is a nice person and she genuinely does want her students to succeed. She hosts a lot of office hours and is very accessible if you need help. Once, she gave me one-on-one support for a 2 hours straight. If you need to miss class, leave early, or get an extension talk to her in advance and she will likely give you the go-ahead. The elephant in the room is the grading. You may hear people call her a harsh grader. However, that is because she pushes her students to think further and improve. If you are genuinely motivated to get an A, make that clear to her and go in for her office hours; if you do that, you should not have much trouble getting an A in her class. Overall, the class was a little more work than I had expected. However, it was rewarding as she undeniably made each student a better writer. Very down-to-Earth professor. You will learn a lot from this professor. |

Great professor! Very helpful and engaging. Was willing to extend deadlines and look over assignments before the due date. Highly recommend for ENGL101. Workload was fair and class was interesting. |

Professor Crawford is an amazing person, but she moves way too fast through the material. Also, she is kinda harsh on grading not going to lie. She is amazing as she gives some extensions if you reach out to her. Be sure to stay on top of all the work and try your best! |

Professor Crawford is super nice, is easily approachable, and wants to help. We had assigned readings but nobody ever did them. There is a free pdf of the textbook found online. Don't buy it because you will literally never use it. She will give extensions if you just ask. As far as grading goes you will get an A if you do what she tells you to do and put some time into your writing. I did get annoyed sometimes because she would take off like 5 points for really no reason, just because the paper doesn't feel like it deserves a 100%. Also do not expect to have any in-class time for writing. But overall I would recommend having her. |

She's a very good teacher, and SUPER helpful if you ask her outside of class about any of the assignments. She even emailed me a few sources for my paper when I was struggling to find scholarly sources. She also didn't care if we did the reading or not, and even if there was reading assigned, she would just go over it in class so you didn't really need the textbook. I know a lot of people said that they thought she graded harshly, but I thought her grading was actually pretty lenient and very fair. As long as you put in some effort you'll be fine. And she even offered to look over major assignments before they were due and give feedback individually on drafts in addition to peer reviewing. She'll easily give extensions and if the class feels like they collectively can't keep up with a deadline, she'll give everyone more time. |

Professor Crawford was a good teacher, however she grades pretty harshly (most of the time, the highest grade in the class was a 95%). Also this class is a lot of work for a gen ed, but it's pretty easy if you just do your work. You don't need the textbook, you will literally never use it. |

She's definitely nice, but really particular. She grades very harshly and expects too much out of a gen ed english class. SO much work. Every week another huge project or essay. I submitted everything late and she never cared. Overall way too much work for no reason take a different professor !! |

She's very nice, but grades pretty harshly. Class is pretty pointless and boring imo but I think that's because the people in my class are robots. I haven't really gained anything at all from the class as a whole. All of the assignments are things I've done before and should be easy A's but since she's picky thats not really the case. I would say take it with a different instructor or just take a different professional writing course that's worth the time and $. |

Super sweet professor! If you are stressed, just tell her, and she will give you an extension! Overall, grading is a little harsh for a 100 level English class, and there are just a lot of assignments over the semester, so make sure you are on top of your work. I would say my writing skills really improved from the beginning of the semester! |

She doesn’t really explain much of her assignments very well and constantly refers to the book that we spent $70 on but barely utilize. I don’t think anyone actually reads it. She is really helpful when you have a question though. Overall, pretty mixed feelings |
