I was going to give him three or four stars. His exams are insanely hard and seem almost like he did not prepare us nearly enough for the exams in class. However, he said at the beginning of the year that his class is very hard, but nobody has ever been disappointed by their grade in the class. Since the grades have been posted, everybody, including myself, have been more than content with out grades. Also, unlike some other professors who teach this class, Dr. C actually seems to care and goes out of his way for his students. Every other class there was some sort of demonstration, he made practice problems before exams, he considered each students' situation and tried to help accommodate them, and he is super friendly. My favorite things were when he brought up what seemed to be random examples, like the "grandma bench," and related it perfectly back to the topics. I find that he spent the class making sure to teach at a conceptual level, even if that meant not many examples, because that is the foundation of learning any further in the course. Also, he curves so so much.

Overall a good teacher if you are genuinely interested in the subject as he goes very in depth but that is ultimately his downfall as he wastes class time teaching things that aren't on exams or things you'd need to know for homeworks. He also has no idea how to use canvas so expect to use his horrible website "docphoton.com" and also expect graded warmups. Not to mention he makes pretty unreasonable exams that require you to use logic to be able to answer.
