Stephanie was amazing. You can tell that she is truly passionate about the material and sharing that with her students. In all honesty, I occasionally found the lectures a little boring, but overall, the class itself was very interesting. You have a lecture every week and lab every week, with a final presentation at the end. The long class time is a little deceiving since only half of that time was dedicated to lecture, and the other half was for completing that week's lab assignment. A lot of people would just leave after the lecture portion. I do recommend that you just stay and knock out the lab during class so that you don't have to worry about it later. Personally, the only annoying part of the class was the writing center visit that she requires that is worth 5% of your grade, but that was just because I was lazy. Make sure to knock it out earlier rather than later. Overall, the class itself was pretty light. It's very easy to get an A+ as long as you try your best on the labs and do your work on time. Stephanie was very knowledgeable and a great resource if you were really interested in digital forensics and wanted to know more about how you can get more involved with it. I cannot recommend her enough. Take 208N!

Stephanie thoroughly explained each topic to us, and even proactively checked if we needed assistance. A highlight of my week was going to her class because it was always engaging. She was very active in providing feedback on our assignments, and you can clearly see that she genuinely cared about us. One time, she even gave me a movie recommendation that related to the topic that I chose for my final presentation. Overall, I would happily retake her class and highly recommend it to anyone!

She really cares about the content and your learning. This class consisted of a weekly lecture and a lab due the following week. After the lecture was done, there was plenty of time left in class to complete the lab, but most people would just leave early and do the lab on their own. I found it useful to stay after lecture and work on the lab in the remaining class time so Stephanie could answer my questions and I could be done with the work for the week. Lectures were interesting and relevant to our labs. We learned how to use a new tool for each lab, and even did digital forensics on our own device which was super cool. If you go to class and do the work, this is an easy A, and still a super interesting class. Our midterm was a CTF, which was cool to get experience with and actually pretty fun. Our final was a presentation on a digital forensics topic of our choice, and Stephanie provided snacks for final presentation day. She is a super nice person and you can tell she really enjoys teaching. 6/5 stars.
