Sarah Dammeyer ENGL390 Expecting an A IfCourseEvalsWereHones 05/22/2023	Generous, kind, and compassionate. Had her for ENGL390 online. There is a good amount of work, but very doable and she is also lenient on due dates if you need to get assignments pushed back.
Sarah Dammeyer ENGL393 Expecting an A+ Anonymous 08/19/2022	Amazing professor!! I took this class over the summer and I have to say Ms.Dammeyer is the most understanding person ever. I am somebody who is never fond of English and writing classes but Ms.Dammeyer structured the class in a way that your English and writing skills do not need to be perfect to do well in this class. As long as you follow the assignment rubric and complete the assignments on time you will do well. The assignments themselves are not that hard and are straightforward. However, being a summer class there is a good workload but definitely manageable.
Sarah Dammeyer ENGL393 Expecting an A Anonymous 07/07/2022	Legitimately one of the best English professors I have ever had. Does a style of grading similar to contract grading. IE - if you complete every objective of the assignment, you will get 100%. Very understanding about modern life/setbacks - and willing to give an extension if you genuinely need it. An absolute pleasure to talk to, and very proactive in responding to emails. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Sarah Dammeyer ENGL398R Expecting an A Anonymous 12/22/2021	This is one of my FAVORITE professors and courses at UMD!! The course consisted of abut 4-5 essays as major assignments and collaboration with others students. Sarah is very accommodating and left me the best comments on my assignments and really helped us to see how our work could be applicable in the real world and I was never stressed about my grade. 10/10 would recommend this professor and course for your professional writing credit!!!
Sarah Dammeyer ENGL393 Expecting a B Anonymous 08/16/2021	dude her entire existence makes me so happy. she is literally the nicest person on the planet. super forgiving if you're feeling overwhelmed or if something in your life messed up. she is super understanding, approachable, and helpful. responds to emails pretty fast if she sees it too. I hate english with a passion and she still made it alright, like the other guy said. taken during summer 2021 If you need to take a professional writing course (ENGL 39x). TAKE IT WITH DAMMEYER. TRUST. I BEG YOU, TAKE IT WITH HER
Sarah Dammeyer ENGL393 Anonymous 04/06/2021	I really hate this class, but Sarah makes it tolerable. She's understanding of student's busy schedules and is pretty lax on deadlines and workload. Her grading system is also awesome. Highly recommend her for this class.
Sarah Dammeyer ENGL101 Expecting a B+ terp999 07/05/2011	Ms. Dammeyer is definitely one of the better ENGL101 professors. The class - of course - was pretty difficult, and there was a lot of work and several papers to write, but Dammeyer was always there for extra help. A lot of her assignments made you think outside the box and be creative, which was awesome. You'll really feel yourself becoming a better writer throughout the class - though you may not really love the workload at the time. I would recommend her to anyone who has to take ENGL101. She's a very sweet lady whose so friendly and very helpful. Go to her office hours! You won't regret it.
