It's a fairly difficult course if you aren't very familiar with fluid dynamics and the Navier-Stokes equations. He teaches from his research and provides a semester-long project to work on as a team. The exams are fairly difficult, but they are open-book, so it will depend on how prepared you are. The class size is significantly small (5 people this semester) so you may want to consider that before you register.

Dr. Das is an old fashion type of professor where he uses very little lecture slides and does example problems. For the first half of the semester, he led just the studio section then took over the lectures as well in the second half of the semester. In studios, Das did a quick lecture recap then went over a few example problems which were helpful. Das is unorganized when working problems but he hands out and post the solutions. If he runs out of space, he will write wherever there is space available, so if you look away, he may be in another place. The board looks unorganized, but if you follow along with him, it will make sense. Aside from being unorganized and old fashioned, he does care about teaching the content and gets frustrated when students do not attend studios and lectures. He does answer questions, just have to be clear with what you are trying to ask. Das does have an accent which can be difficult to understand at first, but after a week or so, you can understand him and what he is saying. Das comes off as bad, but if you stick with it, he will be manageable.

Das definitely cares a lot about the students succeeding in the course. For this semester he taught studio and the second half of the course. He was definitely a very good teacher and he explained the thought process behind everything he did during studio. He wants everyone to do well and will more or less tell you what is on the exam. He is pretty loud as well and does not like it when people talk. The studios are very helpful, but his lectures are pretty useless because he covers everything in studio in a more efficient way. Lectures are just derivations and boredom while studios are example problems with full explanations and derivations. He will explain anything and everything, just ask!

He only teaches studios (not lectures), and can be very loud and abrasive, but is a good teacher! He can explain things very well if you have the ability to ask the right questions amid his seemingly angry demeanor. Honestly I wouldn't have passed 331 or 332 without this man.
