Dr. Ganga is an excellent professor. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about public relations and CSR, so her courses are always engaging and worthwhile. This was a very manageable 400-level class, and we had a lot of freedom on project topics and formats so the work was always interesting. Take a class with Dr. Ganga if you can!

The best professor I've had at UMD so far. Her lectures are long, but she includes the class in discussions and gives group work during each class, which makes it more entertaining. She clearly knows a lot about the topic and cares for all her students. The big projects are lengthy and require a lot of work, but as long as you do what she asks, you'll get an A. Great teacher overall, would recommend.

I had the pleasure of having Dr. Ganga as my 201 professor in Fall 2025. She is such an amazing person and teacher because she cares deeply about her students and the work she does. She uses real-world examples and brings in PR professionals, including some UMD grads. This course applies directly to the field of PR. I wish I could take another course with her! The workload is very manageable; she does take attendance, but class is easy to follow and organized. There is a midterm/final in person, along with two mini papers, but, as I said, it is very manageable, and a final case, and the TAs were great!

Dr. Ganga is one of my favorite professors I've had at UMD so far! She's super sweet and listens to feedback, used real-world examples and videos throughout her lectures to keep them engaging, had us do group work every class, and often brought in guest lecturers so we could hear other POVs about working in PR. There were a few big assignments but they weren't too bad, and were applicable to the work we'd be doing in the field. If you're considering going into PR, I definitely recommend this class, and I would absolutely take more courses with Dr. Ganga.
