BSCI215 is a great class. Everybody should take it. Dr. D's lectures are never boring, and she includes lots of interesting examples and pictures in her PowerPoints. For this class, it was important to work on the research paper throughout the semester and not just during the last week, especially since we were basically given the prompt on the first day of class. |

Use the book! Dr. Dudash lectures extremely quickly, and it is very hard to copy down everything that she says. If you study hard, it's difficult to do poorly on an exam as her exam review sessions consist of telling you what slides/concepts to study. Her exams are entirely short answer and essay, so be prepared to have a sore hand following the exam. Much of the course grade is based on a discussion where ~3 papers are discussed each week. |

Overall, a good class to take. The professor is sometimes a bit snappy and makes you feel stupid for asking questions, but this is okay. She also tries to "bite off more than she can chew" in that she teaches a deceptively lot of material, and thus her tests are often 15 minutes longer than the class period to complete. This is fine, because her tests are usually 8-10 questions, short (3-4 sentences) essays, and some other short answer questions. The in-class presentations and papers are very easy relative to other Honors seminars, so if you don't mind studying for two hours (or in my case, not much at all) for each of the three exams, then this is the best of the few Honors seminars to take for a CORE non-Lab science. Also, we had an 8:00 A.M. final exam on the last Saturday of Exam Week, and instead she gave us a 3rd exam, which was non-cumulative, and offered it at three different days of the week to best accommodate her students. |

She is a very nice person and helpful. She goes through lectures very fast so I ended up teaching myself out of the textbook. Her exams are very long but overall her class isn't too bad. |
