The teacher seems like she's a nice person, however, she was the absolute latest when it came to grades. As in the majority BULK of our grade (every single large assignment) was not graded until after the semester was completed. She herself is a student and is unbelievably ungracious when it comes to scoring, along with her TA, Sunjung. Weird points taken off any chance they can find, it seems a 100 is impossible. Both seem to have a "nobody is perfect so no one gets a perfect score" mentality. So while you'll sit at a high A the entire semester, they'll be sure to ruin your winter break by critiquing all your papers as if you've just submitted your thesis in your first semester of grad school. All her class sessions (3 hours long) are her reading off of her 80-100 slide PowerPoints so you really don't need to show up. By the end of the semester less than half the class would show up because it just wasn't worth the drive to school. |
