Professor Ewing is such a sweetheart! I tell you, this lady brought donut holes to class one Friday for all of us. You can tell she really cares about all her students, and she does her best to make the class as easy and non-stressful as possible. Additionally, most of her critiques of my writing were phrased as suggestions. I feel like this gave me room to expand as a writer and make my own decisions instead of doing everything she said necessarily. It's the difference between an art teacher drawing on your work or suggesting to you what you might change. Anyway, you should take a class with Annemarie--you won't regret it. |

Professor Ewing is so kind and is one of the nicest professors I have ever had. She is an easy grader and this class is probably the easiest English literature class you could take at UMD. There is little to no work and you can get by just skimming the books or reading summaries. Just make sure you participate in class discussions once in a while because she said that she was not grading on participation, but ended up doing so. |

Professor Ewing is one of the nicest professors I have had so far at UMD! She just wants her students to do well and enjoy the course. The discussions in class were engaging and thought provoking as long as you read the books. There are 3 papers throughout the semester and 1 final project, however they aren't too bad at all and Professor Ewing will help you throughout the process if you want to meet on Zoom, in person, or any time. You should definitely take this class! |

Professor Ewing is probably the sweetest professor at UMD. She cares about her students and is genuinely thrilled to see them succeed, making for a fun and encouraging class environment. While the workload itself is light and manageable, class discussions are always interesting and intellectually stimulating. If you are thinking of taking this class, take it! |

Professor Ewing is a great professor. She works hard to support her students and makes the class meaningful. The workload is fairly light- consists of reading novels and occasional papers. Ewing facilitates in-depth conversations about the pieces of children's literature that are being studied. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to re-ignite their reading spark and to anyone that is looking for an upper-level English class. Love this class! |
