I understand where the other review is coming from, but overall, I found this class to be pretty easy. There are two exams and a group presentation at the end of the semester, which is very low-pressure you just present with your group in front of one main person. Most of the class is centered around the group you're placed in during the first few weeks, and you work with them on assignments throughout the semester. Group workdays were chill, and while attendance isn't mandatory, I'd recommend going to those days so you don’t miss out on instructions or updates. A lot of the material is on the slides, so people would sometimes skip, especially if class ended early (which it often did). Personally, I thought the pace was nice, and Pond is really understanding if you email, they’re usually willing to extend deadlines. The exams are straightforward and you're allowed to use a cheat sheet, which makes them manageable. Overall, this class was very group-based, pretty relaxed, and not too stressful if you stay on top of things.

This class was not helpful or productive. This class is required for the FMSC major and is often taught by grad students like Pond. Pond was inconsistent with their teaching and grading, and the TAs' feedback was often minimal and unclear. Lessons consisted of Pond reading directly off the slide or group workdays. Due dates for homework were changed on ELMS frequently without notice (often pushed back but no announcement was sent out). Class often ended extremely early and for a 9am class, it was frustrating to leave my apartment to stay for 30 minutes out of 75 minutes. Pond is extremely kind but if you like consistency and direction, the class can be challenging to work through.
