I’m a freshman and I haven’t had any experience with many professors, but Mr. Fusenig is genuinely one of the best professors I took this semester. He’s super chill but structured and fair when it comes to work, really understanding, and genuinely cares about his students. You can tell he’s passionate about what he teaches and wants everyone to actually learn and understand the concepts. I messed up on a midterm because I misread the instructions and skipped a question completely (my fault), and instead of just giving me the bad grade I deserved, he came up with a fair solution so I wouldn’t tank my exam. That really showed me how much he cares about his students and wants them to succeed, and not like some professors who’d rather see you drown than help you out. I saw someones post under mine saying he’s pretentious, but that couldn’t be more wrong. He’s just really knowledgeable and loves what he teaches, and it makes the class more interesting and engaging. The assignments are super reasonable, maybe an hour of work in some weeks, tops, and we do short reading summaries every other week. The midterms are essay questions, and you can even bring your notes. He also has us do group discussions and fun activities that actually make the class enjoyable. If you want a professor who’s cool, fair, and truly cares about teaching and his students, take this class. You’ll actually enjoy it and learn something at the same time. |
