Stephan Garnier Expecting an A Anonymous 12/15/2023	The class is at 8am which sucks but, he made it bearable. You'll have 1 informative presentation, 1 persuasive presentation, and 1 group presentation. The participation quizzes have obvious answers, are all due December 11th, and unlimited attempts. Garnier is a light grader too. While I personally didn't get much from the class, if you have a lot on your plate you should take him for a chill A+.
Stephan Garnier COMM107 Expecting an A Anonymous 05/05/2023	So Mr. Garnier is a nice guy who makes a really easy class. The class is mostly just him lecturing and was very quiet for a public speaking class, so I found it boring. He doesn't make the class do discussions or really participate. You are graded for attendance though, so I'd recommend showing up for easy points instead of doing the make-up activities later. He's a generous grader, gave me A's on all the speeches, even when I didn't feel good about it. I gave 3 stars because it was at 8 AM, he didn't give time to do any work in class like speech planning - just lecturing all the time and it got really repetitive - and I would have liked to have more speeches and practicing instead of all the theory and just 3 speeches, 1 of which was a group project. If you want an easy A without much work and you're fine with giving speeches then take him. If you actually want more practice getting comfortable speaking and an engaging class, I would look elsewhere.
