The assignments are easy, but are time consuming around the middle of the semester. You learn how to use tools like Photoshop, Sketchup, Lumion, and InDesign. Personally, I am not a Landscape Architecture major, but I still found the class interesting. I had a really nice TA that gave feedback on every single assignment, which was very useful. You can also tell that Jonathan is knowledgeable in the Landscape Architecture field and is approachable and helpful. I would recommend taking this as an easy gen ed, but note that it can take up a good amount of your time completing some of the projects. |

Knows a lot about what he is doing, but may talk a lot at times when it is unecessary. Assignments can be very time consuming, almost 6-8+ hours a week at times in the middle of the semester. Nothing too complicated, you'll figure it out if you ask questions and make friends. I found it to be a very helpful and useful skill that I can actually apply when creating models or designs. Assignments are basically based on making photoshop images, 3d models from sketchup, and various designs using tools taught in class. I feel like I could get a parttime with this as it is an actual skill you learn from practice and the hours spent in lab. For some softwares you need to stay in the lab for hours to develop the models. But it is easy to get an A in terms of grading as long as you do all the requirements, just lots of work put into it. Mostly it's 1-2 assignments per week. If you're interested in making digital designs, it's a very useful class. Know the amount of time you will spend though. |

Very good professor. Class has lots of work and is time consuming but is also very interesting and gives you good skills. This class is an easy gen ed but requires you put the time in. Gemmell is easy to work with and gives good feedback. He knows very much about what he teaches. |
