Nice guy but a terrible teacher. He didn't have a single powerpoint for lecture or review sheet for exams and most of the time during lecture he wouldn't even teach. We did group worksheets every single class period while he walked around and we basically had to figure out the processes using the textbook or TAs. One time we asked him for help during class and he told us to google it. The homeworks were also group work and we all got one grade. The homework could sometimes last 15 hours a week and only a few people in the group could figure out what was going on and the rest of us would be desperate enough to copy them, but it was technically allowed, almost encouraged, because all the team members were supposed to have the same work anyways. There were no practice exams for the midterms and the exams were much much harder than the worksheets we did in class, with averages always being 50-60%. I put in a moderate amount of effort for studying for the exams and still got below 60 on all of them which was very disappointing. The curve was not as big as I thought it would be and I ended up switching my major (I know several other people from that class who did the same). I know in college you need to teach yourself and should not rely on the teacher but it would have been 100 times more helpful if there had been any form of teaching, powerpoints or review sheets. This was the only C I have gotten in college and I'm a junior. Overall this class made me despise the major, and I have heard the class is much better with other teachers.
