I just want to clarify that i am a Computer Science Major. Every single time i was confused and asked a question to him, he would reply in one of two ways: 1. "Go to my office hours" <- Which ended before my discussion session even started, meaning i would have to wait a whole 2 days before getting a question answered that would take a maximum of 3 minutes to solve 2. " You should switch to an info sci major if this easy stuff is too hard for you". The first time i heard this i almost lost my mind, i couldn't believe he would say such a wild statement. That's like calling a bad engineering major a business major. Its incredibly disrespectful and he is lucky our class didnt report him to Fawzi the squirrel king. Also his "review sessions" were just filled with jokes and useless content that "wont be on our exam but it does challenge us" YAY. SO instead of reviewing material for the upcoming exam we were helping Henry understand whatever he put on the slides because he couldn't explain to us what was going through his head. I will say he put in the effort, it just didn't amount to anything successful. Maybe next time try to emotionally connect with your students instead of staring bullets at them while smiling, hands behind your back in a scary manner. The whole 250 lecture was able to understand our pain during the final TA review session where his part and only his part was cut out because he messed it up and instead of taking accountability for his mess up he started saying the kids would fail the final. |

He is genuinely so egotistical and completely destroyed my motivation when I was studying for finals. At the review session, he was trying to be funny and pretend like he was so qualified about what he was saying, but in reality he didn't even know the question he was answering (he literally got it wrong during the final review session). Every time someone tried to answer a question and they got it wrong he would laugh and point at them and scream "that's a BAD answer. does anyone have a good answer?". he thinks he's funny but in reality he came off as SO rude and egotistical and I had to immediately leave the session because I was losing all confidence in my ability to succeed because of his attitude while teaching. I'm sure he's smart and could possibly help a student out with questions or something, but this was one of the worst experiences I've had with a TA. |
