Professor Griffith is not a bad professor by any means but also not the best. Pretty average lecturer (read of the slides most of the time). She used to respond to emails which was helpful and also was willing to answer questions after class if you had any. Her grading wasn't harsh on writing assignments. Sometimes things did get a little unorganized but in general the class was not too bad. Overall just an average professor in my opinion.

Very easy DSNS. All the weekly quizzes and exams were online and weren’t very hard. You have two projects, one is a group project about an assigned crop and the other is a 5-7 page paragraph about any crop scientist of your choosing. As long as you hit all the instructions for those projects you will get an A. I stopped showing up to class after the third week and finished the course with a 99%. My advice though is to not take 113 and to take another lab.

Professor Griffith was not a good lecturer. This class was unorganized, expectations were not clearly explained, and questions on quizzes were often extremely specific and unrelated to any class material. She was sick throughout the semester which I know made it more difficult for her to lecture, but overall expectations were not clear for us students. Professor Griffith is very nice but could improve her lectures. PLSC112 included two in-person lectures and one online lecture a week. There was also a weekly quiz that was difficult to prepare for each week. All of the examinations were online. We also had to write a long paper on a crop scientist which did not make a lot of sense. For a Gen Ed natural science class that pairs with the lab (PLSC113), this class was fine. But, I would never have taken this class simply for fun.
