Really friendly and knowledgable professor. He's been involved in research for 4 decades and it's very obvious based on how he talks about studies that he presents in class. The class itself was very small and student-oriented, so we met once a week and gave a 10-20 minute presentation every class. It definitely helped me become more confident in my ability to speak in front of people and I also really improved on my writing skills. He can grade the 5 writing assignments somewhat tough but don't let that discourage you. The writing assignments were due about every 2 weeks and would be syntheses of the information presented in class. There were no quizzes or exams. The presentations were graded very easily. I would highly recommend taking an upper level with Dr. Hagberg |

The nicest and most laid back professor you will meet. It's flipped, so you watch a lecture every week, and you meet once a week to discuss and take a quiz. However, if you have a good discussion, he forgoes the quiz which is the case most of the time. The material is simple to digest and very insightful on how you can improve your cardiovascular health and the dire importance of physical activity. There are two exams, and I'll say the first is very easy and the second is very challenging. I suggest you take notes on every lecture you watch, or create some flashcards and you will be completely fine. The writing assigments seem daunting but if you give an honest effort, you will be fine. |

Would highly recommend him for your seminar. He has the students lead the class which leads to a friendly environment where the students challenge each other and lead to a lot of learning. It has been an awesome class with him! |

This class was way too much work and way too hard for a core class. quizzes every week, and you need to study at least an hour for each one. there are two writing assignments and each one takes an extremely long time. tests are hard but theres a big curve. overall it was an ok class, you learn a lot, but be warned that it is a lot of work. |
