**about ENAE100, not the professor** This class is kind of useless. When the discussion section starts, this class becomes a waste of time. Each discussion session is practically useless and mind numbing, but the group you're with can make it fun. My group had fun, but I'm lowkey not trying to waste 50 minutes to have fun. Also MAKE A RESEARCH GROUP WITH YOUR FRIENDS (or at least people who I know can do work). I joined a research group with people I didn't know, and some of the people in it were chill, but 1/3 of the group was just dead weight. They spent the entire time doing redundant tasks, and if they needed to do a significant task, they would spend an unbelievably long time on it just for it to not work for the next couple iterations. They also don't take any advice and THINK they're contributing, but they really are just doing nothing at all. Genuinely anyone who knows how to do basic CAD, Arduino, and poster design could do all the work of the research group without breaking a sweat. Also, my research faculty member didn't really interact with us, but the grad student who worked with us was really helpful. Also, this class should be more than 1 credit. It is wasting my time.

**this is not about the professor, only the class since she doesn't actually do any of the teaching** This class was so stupid. The first couple weeks were fine and had some interesting lectures but when you start the discussion sections get ready. OH MY GOD attending discussion genuinely made me dumber. The most painful 50 minutes of my life since I accidentally ate ghost pepper hot sauce when I was 12. Everything has been discussed multiple times before in other classes. Research projects were also hit or miss super boring to somewhat interesting depending on your group and project. Unfortunately this class is required for aerospace so everyone has to suffer together (unless you don't know how to write an email then you'll find this class really exciting).

Dr. Hartzell is an extremely organized, fluid, and talented teacher. Her grading is pretty strict but there is a slight chance of a curve in this course which should make up for it. Everything she asks of you will challenge you, but it is pretty reasonable. She is definitely one of the better professors in AERO

Overall good, straightforward professor. Teaches the main concepts needed to know for homework. You will need the Vallado text to understand more in details since she tries to cover many topics (even though it's not required - highly recommend). She picks low hanging fruit with grading. Most grades came in at the very last day/day before final grades were due (as with many AE professors). For the report she didn't provide a rubric and graded on her arbitrary thoughts on how you should have done your report.
