Do not take him Hardly teaches, very harsh grader and doesn’t tell you the grading rubric upfront, very rude and plays favourites He also speaks way too much English for a French class. If you speak to him in French he responds in English. If I wanted to be spoken to like that, I’d go to Paris, not his class. If you value your comprehension skills and want to enjoy French, do not take him!!! |

Not a good teacher Speaks in English for half the class, and it’s a French speaking class. Doesn’t always convey what/how he’s grading, so when he does grade you loose random points and he gives little feedback as to why. I can tell he’s trying to be nice and tries to relate to us, but the execution is not good and he comes off as very uptight |

Not a fair grader and is rude when you visit his tutoring hours for help. He gives you sass when you’re confused about something that “you should already know”. He’s a nice guy in class but can be two faced. He also teaches a lot in English, which doesn’t help if you actually want to learn French. |

Really great professor. He WILL call on you out of nowhere and expect a lot of speaking in class, but it only helps you learn the language better. He is also really funny at times. Not an easy class, a lot of little assignments and hard concepts, but if you do the work to speak well in class and look at the textbook here and there you will do well. Tests are asynchronous. "Lingro" Homework is so easy (not super helpful). |
