Dr. Herrmann is an okay teacher, but not bad. This course is straightforward and laid out clearly in the syllabus. You don't need to buy the textbook and do the readings as he says, but his pre-lecture videos are helpful to watch. During lectures, he has group activities that most students don't want to do, but they are beneficial to learn the content. The best way to be successful is to complete Module Evaluation (practice problems) before the exams as they are pretty similar in difficulty. This course is not challenging, but it can be annoying at times. Dr. Herrmann tries to learn the students names and know the students at least.

Course is very straightforward with a very forgiving grading system. Professor Hermann does everything he can to set students up for success, providing lots of examples and ensuring that his evaluations/exams do not have unfair trick questions or situations not covered in practice.

Dr. Herrmann is a respected expert in his field. This though does not help when students ask for specific help on items. If you are struggling, the help given is in the form of a telephone call for online students. This is a moot point on any math.

Inconsiderate man. Does not respect his students. Is not honest. Is not an ethical person. Does not think in the best interests of his students. Does not value the time, money, effort, and sacrifice that people make to be in his class.

I would strongly recommend this class. Professor Herrmann is an excellent teacher, who knows the material well. This class had 4 assignments, and a final all weighted equally. Video lectures are posted online, so as the semester went on, attendance dropped but you could catch up from the videos. This is a pretty easy class with a high pass rate. Take it if you can.
