Robert Hill
ENST417 Expecting a B+ Anonymous 11/12/2025 |
Dr. Hill is clearly very knowledgable and has years of experience within the realm of soil science, but his teaching style is a bit challenging. This semester, there is no canvas page which makes it challenging to review content, especially if you have to miss a day. All of the notes are written out on the board and it can sometimes be challenging to see or follow along. However, he does structure the notes very clearly and you can see the topics build upon one another. Also, he is always willing to answer questions or explain a concept again. For me, I don't find the textbook very helpful, I feel like Dr. Hill's lectures are much more informative than the book. The assignments are a bit hard, but definitely help prepare you for the exams. The exams are fair and the practice exam gives you a very good idea of what to expect. I'd recommend this class if it meets a requirement, but definitely don't take it expecting an easy A. I do wish there were more resources available though to help you learn and understand, since it's definitely not an easy topic. |
