Dr. Hurley was very kind and knowledgable. Open to meeting with you over zoom and good at replying to emails. Testudo shows M/W zoom, but only met on Mondays. Wednesdays were recommended to work with your group for your group project. Exams (3) were open notes, untimed, with multiple choice and short answer questions. You have weekly summary assignments (14) due on Wednesday nights, very easy should take about 20 minutes. 15 chapter assignments from the textbook, can take about 10-15 minutes per assignment. Graded on completion, not accuracy! There is a group project and individual paper based on the GP. So don’t wait last minute to ask the professor questions and regularly check up with your groupmates. |

I personally think she's the best professor on the campus. Doesn't matter if you are interested in this material, she will actually make you enjoy it by the end of the semester. |

Dr. Hurley is awesome. The class is very interesting, and it's not at all difficult to do well. You learn about a lot of different things concerning language development, and she uses first hand examples for most of the things. She's available for help if you do need it and is one of the best professors I've had. If you're taking 425, take it with Dr. Hurley! |

Dr. Hurley is a wonderful professor. She makes the class interesting by adding movies and articles to the lectures. You will do very well as long as you put some effort into it, and she's also very accessible for help. There are only about 6 grades for the class (3 exams, 2 papers and 1 project), so no busy work, which is nice. TAKE THIS CLASS. |
