Professor Igel is nice beyond words. She's very understanding, and takes her time to talk to you if you need help. I will definitely take classes with her in the future. |

Not always the most punctual professor, but certainly one who knows the material and teaches it well. I've never felt unfairly treated in her classes, and despite being ungraceful at learning new languages to say the least, I'm almost always able to follow along in class. I've learned something new every day I've been in class with Dr. Igel. Very funny, very personable professor, one of the best I've had at UMD. |

It is an easy A. Meaning if you go to all the classes and pay attention the A will come with limited studying. She is funny (unique sense of humor)and nice. VERY understanding person! Fun class even if your not interested in portuguese history. Easy grader and little homework. |

Very nice, funny sometimes too. Gives a decent amount of work for a HONR seminar (journals, quizzes, final paper, presentation midterm, and final). Easy grader as long as you write a lot. |
