Mrs. Jarchow was the best thing to happen freshman year! She was so sweet, had group quizzes, homework's were so easy, tests were a breeze, and maybe had to go to class once a week. Easy class, great teacher, i would take her in a second

MATH003 is a computer based, self-paced class. Because of this, the professor didn't really do too much aside from grading your tests while the TA was in charge of grading the homework. It was an extremely easy class for me because 99% of the material was a review of everything I've learned. You have the option of finishing it in 5 weeks instead of taking up the full semester if you take all 3 tests and the final before the 5 weeks are up (there's an official last day to take the final). The few times I did have questions, I could ask her or the TA, and they were both very courteous and willing to help. Not really any more to say about her since it was a computer class and her presence was largely unnoticed. She seems really nice though.

From what I can tell, she is a great prof. Unfortunately I haven't been to lecture much because the material is insanely easy. But she is never condescending to her students and always makes sure every last question is answered.

As the other reviews stated she is the sweetest professor I have ever had. She provides any extra help all you have to do is ask. She would allow us to turn our homework in late if we didn't understand because she said it was better to grasp an understanding than to just get a grade. Most times she graded for completion anyways. If you have a choice take this class.

As the others here have said, she's very sweet and listens to what you have to say if you ask her stuff after class. She always ended class 5-10 minutes early in out lecture (dunno y). She makes the class simple and drops several quizzes so you have a chance for an easy A. Very lenient and teaches directly out of the book which is good because that's what you're tested on.

She is the best professor/nicest lady. Homework is accepted whenever you feel like turning it in and the tests are graded really easily. If you aren't good at math, or you are good at math you should take this course

If this is an option for the CORE math requirement for your major, take this course. Professor Jarchow is the nicest woman in the world. She teaches straight out of the book, sure, but you have to be absolutely braindead to do poorly in this course. She will explain any problem you have, is very lenient with regard to homework and quizzes, and just makes the class very simple. The TA's don't do the best job of explaining the material, but the course is easy enough regardless.

She is one of the sweetest women I know... she really takes time with explaining the problems and she really does care about her students unlike some other professors. Take her class!!

shes super easy with homework, and will even take it up to a day before the final. the only problem is that she teaches right. out. of. the. book. however if you ask her for help on any group quiz or regular quiz she will walk you right through it. a very nice and sweet lady otherwise.

Jarchow is a really great professor -- she's clear and teaches really well, but she is also really lenient about turning in homework late and about doing make up exams and quizzes. She also let me take MATH111 when I had failed the diagnostic exam. If you fail the diagnostic DEFINITELY ask her to put you in the class anyway because she usually will and MATH111 had nothing to do with what was on the diagnostic exam. I'm terrible at math and I'm getting an A so that should tell you something. She's a good teacher and really easy to get an A from.
