Great professor has a Chinese accent but not too hard to understand. PHIL140 with Xu has been a blast honestly my easiest gen ed. As long as you show up to class you will ace his weekly quizzes. I got 10/10 on all of them except 1 and that because I missed the 1st day of that week. I don't know if it's because it was a different course but the other review is completely wrong about Xu. He's really nice to talk to and will offer help if you ask. |

Avoid taking a class with this guy at all costs. He has some weird superiority complex that manifests in both his "teaching" and his grading. His feedback on assignments consists of empty criticisms that serve as no guidance in amending your work. For example, this class has three essays which ask you to dissect philosophers' arguments and explain your own position on the matter. On one of my essays, Xu left the comment "this is just your opinion which I do not care." Absolutely appalling. |
