Very passionate and considerate. Loved the content of this class. She gives extensions for the writing which are really the only assignments apart from annotations. You have to present for 2 full class periods as a group but it's chill. I gave myself an A at the end but they gave me A+ :) |

An excellent teacher who genuinely cares about the topic. Class is very interesting, and who doesn't want to watch movies as part of their class? She is also a very nice person and is willing to talk with you about anything. Class itself is easy, and you self-grade yourself at the end of the semester (don't skip any assignments or else she won't honor this, but you can submit all assignments late anyways). |

A very friendly and fun professor with a lot of great perspectives and opinions on the world. HNUH248R is pretty chill, an overall fun experience, and the way she handles her class ("Ungrading") means as long as you submit everything on time, show up to every class and participate in debates, and don't get on her bad side, you theoretically get an A. Perfect standard for gen. eds honestly, I wish more of the world was like this. |

Dr. Jones is an amazing professor, the class is super easy, so if you just show up and participate, you will do well. There are movies that you need to watch every week and readings, but it's fairly easy. Overall, great class and super chill! |

I'm unsure why a previous reviewer gave Dr. Jones only three stars for HNUH300. In my experience, she was a supportive and insightful instructor. Her comments on my proposal were thoughtful, constructive, and genuinely helped me improve both the direction of my project. One of the highlights of the course was her tangents which made the class feel more entertaining. Overall, I found her teaching style effective, and I would highly recommend taking a course with her. |

This class is great. Dr. Jones is super accommodating and incredible at connecting Science Fiction to actual topics in the real world. The class didn't have any actual grades, just a grade meeting at the end of the semester for you to discuss with her what you think you got in the class. As long as you participate in class (really easy since its discussion based) and do most of the work, you will get an A+. |

Jones is an incredibly nice and accommodating professor who wants to see you succeed in this class, and I would definitely recommend her over some of the other professors for HNUH300. However, Jones takes the assignments for this class far too seriously. I once received Canvas notifications for a full hour while she left essays worth of comments on my submission. If you take her, be prepared to receive very thorough feedback. |
