Absolute fucking beast. Love this guy. If you actually wanna learn geography he can help, if you don't, that's cool too. Easiest A you'll ever get. |

overall: don't take this class. it may appear to be easy because it's labs done through google earth & it's asynchronous but it's actually quite difficult. the questions are hard to understand & to find the answers to the question is even harder. i only got an A because one of my friends helped me out. i would ask TAs for help and sometimes they would give me the incorrect answers/bad guidance, so save yourself please. recommendations/heads up: -choose another lab. for real. -if you do choose this class, start the assignments early because they take some time to do. |

overall: the class was definitely more than i expected. lectures were very extremely boring & fast-paced (usually 110 slides a lecture). the textbook was not really of much help, but i did take notes using the textbook. exams were very detail specific , meaning you'd have to know small details of big concepts because those little details would be questions on the exam. review sessions by the TA were helpful though because the TA slowed down the material and explained it well. even though I got an A- in the class, I have to give it a 1 star because it was way too much work for a gen-ed. i took this class as a gov major so that I could fulfill my lab credit (through the companion course GEOG211) without actually going to a 3hr lab, but i was better off just doing the 3hr lab. recommendations/heads up: -Go to lecture because attendance is taken through clicker questions -MAKE A STUDY GUIDE by going through all the slides and writing down words on the slides, then use the textbook if a concept doesn't make sense. It will take you forever to do but it's the only way to study for a class that's so material dense. I'd recommend working on your study guide each week after lectures so that you aren't scrambling for the exam. -If you find the Geography of Environmental systems interesting, take this class! Otherwise save yourself some time & take a different course. -Chris does care a lot about his students and was very caring, but the class just has too much material to cover in such a short span of time. |

This course is really easy, but only 3 stars because you will not learn anything at all. If that doesn't bother you, then definitely take this for DSNL requirement because its good for GPA and not a lot of work. But he goes so fast in lecture its impossible to absorb anything or take notes, so you end up cramming the night before exams |

He's super nice and is actually able to teach pretty well, but he flies through the lecture slides super quickly, so be prepared for that |

Professor Justice really cares about geog. The tests are not bad if you study for a day or two. The final exam is online. Class is mandatory because you do clickers that contribute to your grade. You get full credit for the clickers just for participating. There is an extra credit opportunity ay the end! |

a lot of material in this class, lectures were pointless but he makes everyone show up for particpation grade. quizzes were okay but your grade is just comprised of 3 quiz grades which is harsh. chris is a nice guy but he can't teach to save his life. good luck learning the whole semester's material on your own |

The class is rote memorization, but it's a lot of information to remember. Lectures are mind-numbingly boring and are practically ripped from the pages of the textbook. Material is covered at a rapid-fire pace and you have to make a substantial effort to stay on top of everything to avoid falling behind. Justice seems like a nice guy but is not a good teacher. Grades are based on 4 exams and nothing else, which may or may not be to your liking. There is an extra credit opportunity at the end which can boost your grade pretty significantly. Overall, if you must take it and make an effort to keep up, you'll probably be fine. But it is certainly not a class that I would like to take again. |

Dr. Justice is a nice guy and the class is pretty much straightforward. That being said, the lectures were boring and he sped through the content. Final grade is determined from 4 exams but he offered extra credit. Good choice to knock off the science class with lab requirement. |

Justice is a nice guy and wants everyone to pass his class, as a lecturer he's kinda boring, and I stopped going to class He's British so has a cool accent. Overall the class itself was pretty straightforward forward and if you put a little work into you will get an A. Grades only come from exams, so that's a little annoying. He did give us an extra credit opportunity at the end which is nice. Overall since this is his first time teaching I think he did a good job and he'll get better over time. |

At first, I heard some bad things about him. I agree, he is not the best teacher, but he cares sooooo much about his students and really wants us to do well, and thats all anyone can hope for in a professor. Take him or Amanda Hall and you'll be fine with your lab requirement. |
