I absolutely loved her. She would meet with you one-on-one not during office hours for you to really grasp the concept. This is a hard class with a lot of memorization but she made it manageable! If you have to take this class, definitely take it with her!

I would like to preface, that Dr. Krishnan just started teaching for the first ever this semester. She is pretty nice and approachable, she does have a bit of an accent, but you will get used to it. While there were bumps in the road, she was very willing to take feedback and implement it. We did not get any sort of review guide for the first exam, but once it was suggested, she gave it to us for the rest of the exams and finals. For me, I did not find her lecturing style too helpful, as she tended to go through material fast and go on rants. She also expected us to have a lot more background info than we did, which led to awkward long pauses after she asked us questions, expecting us to know the answers. Her powerpoints come straight from the book, so if the material does not make sense I recommend going to youtube for further explanation. She really did try to engage us, though, plus she recorded and posted all lectures and review sessions. Quizzes (23 of them, lowest 2 dropped) are online and have a 20-30 minute time limit. Worksheets are in class, but you can work with other people and use notes, which is a grade boost. Hint: If you want to get an A you have to know the sequential steps and visual representations of ALL the processes!! I did not study these as much, and that is why I received an A- instead of an A. There are three exams and the final. The final was almost all repeat questions from exams 1-3 so a nice way to boost your grade. If you want to do really well, I would go to her for office hours! I could not due to other class conflicts, yet I still managed an A minus. In conclusion, if Keller is full she is not a bad alternative but be prepared to study outside of lecture to get the grade you want.

Dr. Krishnan’s class is easy as long as you review her study guides. She’s super sweet and is always willing to help or answer any clarifying questions.

Okay so a lot of the first reviews come from the first half of the semester, which is (sort of) fair. I never thought she was awful, but things were definitely a lot harder. However, I think she is a good prof because she actually took the time to listen and improve what she was doing. Without that, I know I would've failed this class entirely so I don't think she deserves the hate, but if you're bad at stuff like BSCI you may have to work at this class a little. I am terrible with anything science related, hence the grade, so sometimes lectures were a little fast for me and others. After some feedback she put out study guides that were near identical to exams so if you just studied you could get passable grades even if it isn't your thing. She just seemed to not know where people were at education-wise when starting, but she really didn't want to fail anyone or to try and make things difficult. She's sweet and a good listener, so I think her next semesters teaching will be a lot better than the initial one. I wouldn't let the bad reviews scare me from taking her class.

Since she was a new professor, this class was a learning process for everyone. The first exam and worksheet were relatively difficult, however she made changes so that the future would be easier. She did review sessions and made a "what to know sheet" that outlined everything to expect on the exam. Exam averages were in the 70s and 80s which honestly isnt that bad considering she is discussing a curve. Shes a really good professor, honestly just alittle anxious. She constantly asks if people have questions. I could see why earlier reviews wouldn't be too supportive of her, however she made the needed alterations and this class ended up being not that bad. I would not want to take any other professor.

Shes new so give her a break. Compared to other BSCI170 classes, this is downright the easiest class omg. Just review her slides constantly like for 30 minutes a week or so and easy B+. Her double weekly quizzes can be a pain but its whatever. Just saying if you're a stem major and you take chem131 before this you will definitely do good. She curves hellllllaaa. She does have worksheets are can be kinda annoying but their alright tbh their open note and open internet so uh skill issue tbh. Also she really does try to help and shes very kind. Her lectures are a waste of time through in my opinion, I would just self study the course.

Dr. Krishnan is super sweet. She’s a really nice and undrstanding professor. The exams are easy as long as you study the PowerPoints. To be honest, sometimes she explains concepts in a confusing way, but she’s more than willing to implement feedback and answer additional questions. She also hosts exam review sessions and provides a study guide.

Don't look at the bad reviews they were the ones that didn't study, she is super friendly and sweet and her exams are pulled straight out of lecture slides. She really wants you to pass, answers emails quickly and very approachable in office hours. 10/10 recommend.

At first took a bit to get use to her accent, but she a very sweet lady and doesn't want this course to be a weed out class, her exams are pulled straight out of lecture slides and are very easy if you study the material. I went to office hours 2-3 times and she was super helpful. 10/10 recommend.

Prof Krishnan is really sweet, I love her. It’s easy to succeed because she records lectures and provides us good resources. Our exams are content heavy and pretty specific compared to other profs but she provides a study guide, so it’s easy to study efficiently.

Professor and class are not too bad. Professor tries to ensure students understand topics. Is very friendly/approachable. Answers emails quickly. The first exam was not too hard. Hope there was study guide or prior practice exams but Prof. Krishnan is teaching class for the first time.

Dr. Krishnan's classes are engaging, she spends adequate time explaining concepts, asks a lot of questions to gauge student understanding, and records her lectures. She is easy to approach. Worksheet was tough and there is quite a bit of chemistry, but the exams had the same questions. During lectures, she also tells what to study and what won't be asked in exams.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. She is extremely unfriendly and unwilling to help. The class is supposed to be introductory but is treated like a graduate class. You have to have a knowledgeable background in chemistry to even begin to do well in this class. There is no review or study materials before exams. Any other professor would be better than her for this class. Worst experience I have ever had with a professor.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER! Seriously, she should be a last resort. She is super unfriendly and unhelpful. I went into this class expecting to do fairly well as it is supposed to be an introductory class, but she treats it like it is a graduate class. There is no review before exams and no resources to help you study other than reviewing her powerpoints which are super long and complicated. She moves incredibly fast through topics and gives the bare minimum explanation. She expects you to come in already knowing the material. If you can, choose any other professor for this class. This has been the worst experience with I professor I have ever had.

If I could give this class zero stars, I would. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED NOT TAKING THIS PROFESSOR. Take Keller, or anyone else. FIRST EXAM IS STRAIGHT ORGANIC CHEMISRTY, SO IF YOU DONT KNOW THAT, THEN YOUR COOKED. She gave the worksheets out and expected you to finish them in 30 minutes while another professional let you take them home. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND HER, EVEN FOR WORSE EMENY
